It is now twenty years since the proposed 2006 Kapa Haka issue was cancelled by New Zealand Post.

Over the years since that cancellation, there have been several articles written on the issue, but for the first time, the entire story has been put together in one document, including new information and images not previously seen before.

What happened to the items sold by New Zealand Post and how many were there?

There was a $4.50 booklet, but did you know there was also a plan for a $9.00 booklet?

Debate about the images and whether the issue should be given full catalogue status, because items were sold under normal purchasing conditions, have taken place, and is still a hot conversation that is had today.

Bruce, author of New Zealand Stamp Errors, and New Zealand Stamp Booklets, has spent over a year doing research on this issue and has completed a document of his findings. Included in the document are proof images, official documents related to the release and images of the contents of the limited-edition dispenser box, along with proof sheet layouts and original drawings of the $1.35 stamp, before it was modified. He has also tracked down and documented what happened to the eleven booklets sold.
